It was fun doing this one and I have the materials ready for my next beadproject. Time and my muse will return. Ball season ends in June and it will be too hot to be out and about so I look forward to having some fun beading soon.
My name is Brenda and I am 60 years old. My titles are wife to Bill, mother to Tonya and Bobby, mother-in-law to Jack and Megan and Mawmaw to Gianni and Will. My love has always been quilting, but lately I have wanted to experiment and have a journey of (I won't say artistic) exploring the world of mixed media. This will be my journey to share with others who might be afraid to take that first step. You are never too old and it is never too late to have fun.

I love the texture and colors in this piece! How neat that you used a painting for inspiration. Arent kids great? Very nice piece.
What a perfect January page. I like both of yours paintings. His is fun play and yours is a textural beauty. I hope you kept his, or a picture of it to keep with yours for the future.
I posted such a nice comment that blogger totally lost in cyberspace. It was exactly what I wanted to say.
Anyway, creating a bead page to commemerate a special day with your grandson created a memory that you both will remember for years to come. Timeree had a great idea to keep them both together.
This is a beautiful piece! Also, the thought behind using a painted piece from your grandson is amazing. What a great legacy! Much better than refridgerator art.
Thank all of you for your positive contents. Right now I am looking at these pieces side by side and know they have to stay together.
Oh man is that a cool idea to bead his art work. I think its a great idea and such a good way to make yourself play and be free because you were using his child imagination. No judgment. I just love it. Julie C
Love this, - how much more can inspiration be inspiring? To be able to bead from being inspired by a child's art, very cool!
This is so wonderful! I love the idea of beading a version of your grandson's painting. The beading itself is beautiful.
